unfortunately i have to sell my unfinished mk2 astra-van project due to not having enough time to finish it. (don't laugh!)
It originally started out as a 1.3 bedford plumbers van that used to come into our main dealership every year for mot, when the guy decided to sell i purchased from him with the idea of simply tidying it up a bit and dropping a xe in.
The bodywork is decidedly shabby, but solid. The rear arches have just started to bubble. Large areas of paint have simply washed off, leaving areas of surface rust exposed. This didn't especially bother me as i wanted to keep it "rat look"!
I seam welded the engine bay, added gte p/s and then re-sprayed the bay glacier white, Added a gte tilt column and calibra cream leather front seats.
I broke two gte 16vs and kept most of the good parts to finish the van incuding a pair of rot free de-locked doors, (not fitted or pictured) with e/w and c/l motors and looms, 16v leather steering wheel, 2 p/s racks, gte front bumper with fogs and front splitter (possibly a zender item?), 2 other gte front and rear bumpers, smoothed scuttle panel, gte bonnet, 2 lots of sideskirts, gte door cards, and fairly new rad, large hub front legs with 256cross drilled discs and green pads, rear disc beam ( that i've modded the lower shock mounts to fit the van and slid it under, a real one-off!) 2 good wings, large letterbox universal silencer, etc etc. (i'll have to check the back of the van is full!)
The van is currently mahoosivly low, due to me removing the rear van springs and locators and fitting lowered car items, along with a modded rear disc beam to accept van shockers, nb load valve will have to be removed! i reckon it's at least well over 100mm at the back and 65 at the front! Proper euro style!
I fitted the xe, but this and the f20will not be included in the sale and the as i have another astra i wish to fit it into. It's still in the van, so please give me time to remove it.
Please be aware that this is no concours machine! but just a fun piece of mk2 that i no longer have time for. It's for sale as a whole going concern, (buyer collects, no delivery!) and if i can't sell it as this then i will have to break the whole lot for spares. I know it's not worth a lot, but if anyone is interested then make me a sensible offer!! The pics are not current, and i'll try and update some asap, it now has some cesaro alloys with mint tyres, which are not included in the sale.
if anybody wants bits IF i decide to break, please reply in thread below
Any more info please pm me.
(ps i also have complete 2.08v out of late cab that i also broke, available at extra cost, would be ideal motor for this)
Vehicle located in cheadle, stoke-on-trent.

John lives next door to Hayley - he's got a rare Nova Cabriolet to sell too and his magazine featured blue SRI and an original Sport
Even Pikey Pauls yellow van was cooler than yours Wayne - it never blew up! This is cool
