Did you replace the handbrake cable when you did the conversion?

If so what car have you had the handbrake cable from?

So your corsa's original cable is still on the car?

So the problem is the handbrake cable is too long on the drivers side for it to connect to the brake system??

Are the connections right? i.e. you can connect both sides of the cable

Can the slack not be taken up by the handbrake lever? Are you sure the cable is routed correctly?

Obviously it is, but I don't understand how you have 4 inches of slack if it's the original cable and is routed and adjusted correctly..

i agree with rhyd is it clipped to the rear axle correctly?as iirc you have to swap the guides for disc brake rather than the drum
