Temp gauge.

The temp gauge in my 1.8 sxi keeps going up to around the 80 mark and right back down again is this nomal or is the sensor knackerd thanks for any help.

Would tend to agree if guage working as it should be, sounds like 'stat opening too soon...

Guessing the rad fan isnt coming on too early?

hey up m8 how are you doing thanks for reply heaters still get warm is this nomal.
fan kicked in when gauge was about half way.
Hows the new motor running?

I would say thermostat to ... cheap enough to replace and try
