Management light :(

Cars been playing silly buggers today :(:(:(

went out this morning to head off to speedfest and the light came on, turned engine off and when i restarted it had gone off so we headed off. Car ran fine no probs untill we stopped on the way home for some grub. Started the car back up and the light came back on :( tried restarting engine and it wouldnt go off so phoned the rac......

They wont come out and get you and the car if the cars running. Told me I could drive no more than 40 miles and to get it to a garage asap. Being a sunday at 4pm wasnt proving possible and we were about 30-40 miles from home. Phone mark and wol to ask second opinion on what the rac man said. Mark said it'd be fine and just to take it easy. 36 miles later we were home safe :) light still on :(

Reset it now and its gone off but not had it out for a drive again yet, fingers crossed it wont come back on.......

its nothing to worry about, i drove my cav around for 2 months with the engine light untill i could be ****d to fix it, mine turned out to be the cam shaft sensor, chances are yours will be the same

Has your dad had any luck with finding the other fob? I've sorted the lock and cap for the passenger side door.

My veccy done this also, the revs used to go nuts and it would die. then wouldnt start for about ten mins. Perfectly normal...........:lol:

been in today, £35 lighter and one camshaft sensor need to be fitted. £82 to get it and fit it. At least its nothing serious

Unless you're car is running 5hite I wouldnt worry, eml has been on in dan's mk4 astra sxi for about 6months now, still redlines etc hehe :D

update

light came back on when it got plugged in and hasnt gone off since, went out for lunch yesterday and it went off on its own but came back on when i left work that night to come home. It doing my head in with it being on all the time. Thank god its getting fixed this week

yay got my car back, all fixed and running much better :)

its having to go in again next week, he found a cracked pipe :(

really decent guy, seems fair with his prices and even offered to drop me off after i took the car in and when he phoned to say it was ready offered to pick me up :)
