On my way home from work with a mate his car had very little power between 1500 - 2000 revs then seems kicks in at 2000 (2nd & 3rd gear only) its only started tonight, normally quite responsive, was fine on the way to work. Any ideas?

What is the car ? is it fuel injection or carb etc ?

Any lights come on the dash ?

Its a Bravo 1.6 Trofeo 100bhp, injection, no lights - very confused :(

Sounds like a flat spot/hesitation

Does it do it in every gear around that part of the rev range?

This is a common problem found with Fiat's. When it happens does the ecu light not flash on and off or stay on for a few seconds then cut out?

Similar problems on a fiat i worked on ended up being the Ocsigen/Lambda Sensor at fault.

Is the car overfuelling at all,as in using more fuel than normal?

It only seems sluggish in 2nd and 3rd gear, no lights at all on dash and havent noticed any unusual fuel usage......
