Trip computer mfd into mk3 astra

Any body done this yet? i'm in need of help/advise!

i've transfered the 3 wires from the black connector to the blue one, wired the two of three wires off the stalk to the blue connector, now i'm stumped!

What is the TID loom and DID loom?
Also number 18 pin (blue/black) where's the left hand connector on the back of the instrument panel (I assume the instrument panel is my clocks?)
There is also a thick brown wire coming of the stalk, assuming this is ground where would it need grounding?
And the other "ground" wire's in the above diagram, where would they need grounding?

Pics would be a real help but any help would be grateful!

I managed to fit it all in my mk2 GTE so it can't be too hard! Have got the wiring diagram somewhere with all the wire colours and what each wires function is, will have a search for it at work
