hi im new to the forum an iv just brought a x20xe engine , gearbox, wiring ect... to fit into a astra mk4 just woundering if any one knows a place or person tha will do the work for me for a good fair price???

Hi matey, welcome to Club Vox!!!

Quite a few of the members on here are pretty handy fitting engines and GMH in cheadle are a decent place to use :)

BTW do you work at PMF in Fenton?

What year isyour car? If its pre 2000 then its alot more straight forward than a later one

turns out that the engine is a xe20xev with air con, i dont need the air con so is it possible to take of all the air con stuff on the engine without nackering it? , also i need a manifold so if any 1 got 1 for sale it would be helpful

can rip the aircon off no problem!
a mrk 4 will be a lot easier to fit it in!

my old engine is mounted right on the cam cover but i just looked at the x20xev engine and it is not mounted in the same place tbh i can not see a mount at all. :S

Mount should still be in the car it came out of tbh

If your looking at the engine is it the mount in the top left that your talking about?

yer im on bout the one on the engine at the top left well it is on my old one but doesnt seem to be on the x20xev ?????
