I'm having trouble sorting my wiring loom out on my astra.
It has a clifford alarm and there are loads of wires which I don't no what they do, I don't want 2 snip all the wires and end up being in a muddle with them
Could someone point me in the right direction to someone who could come sort the loom out ready for the 16v engine? and at what cost am I looking to pay for this?

depends who you get to do it tbh
Is the loom not still wired into/attached to the engine?? If so it should just plug into your dash loom.
Come on guys theres quite a few of you on here who could do this, anybody free and wanting some extra cash??

I brought the 16v engine It came with loads of spares, and the 16v loom which is the ECU to the Injection rail then it's snipped abit further up. I don't have a clue about wiring.
I'm willing to pay the money if someone is willing to do it for me as I Understand I'ts time consuming and a bit of a brain tease. I need the inside doing aswell. I'm currently making a custom centre console for all my switches ignition barrel to be wired too but they will need wiring aswell.

Got the engine out the shed today, Tried 2 wire up as much as I could to the 16v engine regards to clips ofcourse.
Still got clips leading 2 nowhere. And I aint got a clue where they go. Any help would be apreciated.
Is there any diagrams I could look at anywhere? I think the haynes manuals have the wiring diagram in the back right?

Wiring colours are as follows:
XE loom
Black - ignition switched live
blue - coolant temp
red/blue - fuel pump
green - rev counter
blue - coolant temp
black/red - starter
green/blue - oil pressure
brown/yellow - Diagnostics
brown - earth
brown/white - Diagnostics
blue/white - alternator
blue/green - oil pressure
thick red - battery, thin black - igntion switched feed, thick red/blue - fuel pump, brown/blue - ecu light.
I think that is correct

Is that what colour all the wires are going INTO the engine? or OUT of the engine?
I couldn't find the right wire going to the idle control valve thing, I was left with a big clip aswell about the same size as the air flow meter but it wasn't for the air. Any ideas?
I really need someone to come and have a look. Anyone got a spare day 2 come help me out? I'l sort you out.

The colour of the wires are from the ecu plug going to the engine, I would say the the plug you have is for traction control (agree with wayne ... OMG) ;)
Would love to help but don't have any spare time .. sorry :(

Thats the only pic I have at the minute, In the bottom corner.
It has the ECU plug > Injector unit > looks like a bulkhead rubber bung.. I'm assumin the ECU on the calibra is inside the car? not in the bonnet....

not bad from what i can see the first pic is just a ron plug, next pic am not sure about..next pic is idle control valve or knowck sensor plug..next pic is fuel pressure relief valve, that fat plug with 10 pins could be diagnostics plug??
what is loom originally from? and is engine in car yet?

Nah engines on the floor. Didn't no if it was easier to sort the loom before puttin the engine in.. No? As far as I no the looms with the engine from a calibra.
Where does the diagnostics plug go then? Couldn't find anywhere on the engine it plugged in?
If the weathers reasonable tomorrow I might try and get the engine in. Then work the wiring...

Tbh makes more sense to get engine plumbed in and then sort the wires at least this way you can check that all is working as you go

diagnostics plug doesnt plug into anything its for a machine to plug to read ecu fault codes

Soon as I get another decent day I'll bang the engine in and do what I can then get someone to sort the wires. My idiotic brother decided to go through my shed throwing my spares about in a paddy. booted off my passenger side wing mirror, so i need some wing mirrors now :@
