View Full Version : 1.8 8v Engine for swap?

I've got a 8v 1.8 from a mk2 astra SXI. Only problem with the engine is the little end bearing are gone on cylinder number 2. Got a receipt from the machanic.

I no the engine's only worth bout 100 snoots so I'm after some 16v engine mounts and a driveshaft.

The engines just had a new cambelt not even 1000mile's ago along with a new waterpump oil filter and Oil.

heehee I've still got my 1.8 8v from my cdi in the garage, tried to give it away and no-one wanted it!!

Yeah bought my second 2.0 8v SER with F16 80k with receipts, which I put in my GTE for £50 couple years back..:cool:

Would go ok in a nova or sumit. If no1 wants it I'l prob make a go kart out of it or something :)

Yes I have, it would need a complete strip down and rebuild though, its been in there for a while (3yrs+) and it is JUST the bare engine, no PAS pump, lump, g/box, shafts, water pipes etc.
