f16 i think both are on the engine and box
engine number runs up the gearbox side at the front and gearbox number is on top of the box under where the selector goes in

The gearbox will be an F16, pretty sure on that one. The engine code is likely to be a 20SE, the 20NE is fitted to later cars usually and cat equipped

Have seen 20SE, 20SER fitted in Mk2's and C20NE fitted on 'cat' equipped astra's (mk3..)
