Hello,

Just thought I'd say hi!

My name is Iain , I live in sunny Scotland and Drive and Astra Coupe.

Its only a 1.8, but has leather interior so happy with it for now.

I've also been a member of Astra Owners Club for a couple of years.

Saving for a house this year , so once I've seen how much of the funds are left over after, I was thinking of either selling the Coupe and buying a VXR, or keeping the it and buying a second car to enjoy as a hobby, maybe a MK1 or 2 GTE??

Anyway looking forward to chatting to you all!

Not sure If I'll make it down to the shows as I think they are normally quite far away, but it would be a nice trip if it was in the summer!

PVS is June and VBOA is July so fingers crossed we will have some nice weather for the dare I say it.....summer heehee

Some of the scottish members are planning on heading down for them so bit of a convoy down me thinks and we do camp so not like loads of driving on one day :D

Not sure how close you are to Chik, Alan, Milzy etc but am sure they are planning a meet this month.


PVS is Sunday 8th June, we tend to go down on Saturday and camp - Beer and BBQ :D

VBOA at Billing is Sat 12th and Sun 13th July, we tend to go down on Friday and camp 2 nights :D

Hi v6 it was the one, about 3 or 4 mins long of yourself on the R/R, and obtaining a very nice 197bhp!

So was the conversion difficult to do? Did the engine bay require any seam welding/strengthening beforehand? Just interested as I havent heard of another similarly-converted mk2 and the v6 looks like it belongs in there from the pics!

We will be going to shows in scotland again this year. Would be good to get your along with us! Also the scottish guys will convoy down to the 2 main shows in england in the summer, pv and billing. Details of shows scotland will hopefully be doing can be found here (http://www.c-vox.com/showthread.php?t=3254).

We also have monthy meets which are great for members to get to know each other. They are held in various locations to suit everyone. We had our december meet in linlithgow. This months meet will be in cumbernauld, details here (http://www.c-vox.com/showthread.php?t=3231)
