Right what do i need to do to drop a 1.6 on my own or with a few mates to do
please i really need an idiots guide on what to do what to buy and what specialist help i need

You change your mind,,, more times than the weather!!!! LOL!!!
A hoist would be a start unless you have a guy my size to lift engine out!!!!;);)
Oh and while its out, make sure you change the cambelt and possibly new clutch??

I know mitch and i am sorry to everyone lol but im completly new to all this i just wanna know weather i can do this my self as i would feel a good sense of accomplishment

ooo and about lifting the engine i was thinking trolley jack and make sure everythings disconnected then tipping the front end of the car up lol

just seen this
16 valve cylinder block (re-worked)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Complete rebuild 5000 miles ago.
The block has been decked and +0.5mm oversized pistons fitted after a rebore and the complete balance of the following
Crank
Flywheel
clutch
clutch plate
Con rods
Pistons
The con-rods have ARP bolts fitted and an SBD oil pump using their solid steel.
SBD timing belt steel rollers are available but not part of this sale.
Over £500 worth of work/parts but for a quick sale I'm looking for £200 ono

Liftin the engine out is alot easier than tryin to move car over it!!!!:D:D

The above sounds ok mate!!! If the flywheel has been lightened too that will push more power to the wheels!!!;)

It's not that much to hire one of the foldaway hoists about £50 we paid for a weekend

if its your first engine conversion and your trying to keep costs down id go through the bottom and pull the lump out the front end etc you can get em high enough

Engine hoist is £15 for a weekend where I hire it from saves so much hastle trying to lign the engine up with mounts.

Easy enough in a nova, I'd totally agree with wayne's advice :cool:
