How minor ? As we use a mobile guy to come to work and repair scratches etc .. and if you pay cash it cheaper ;)

if they're rusty they will need a wee bit more attention than just a lick of paint

its would be a perfect world if we could buy an insurance policy to cover breakdowns and the cost of parts, labour and vat

it could be?but my girlfriend had the same problem with her car astra 1.6 16v cdx mk3 and the garage replaced icv and other things wich i cant remember wot now,and in the end they replaced the ecu and problem solved.the only thing different with hers was if she turned the ignition off, then started it again,it wouldnt rev on its own it would be ok for bit?but with mine i turned it off left it for 20mins then started it again and it would just rev like ****** still and the revs would keep getting higher:confused:

sounds like the idle speed valve to me too, its a really common fault, mine used to it in traffic, does the engine mangement light come on? :(

pmsl at the kiss my astra sticker....lol
For paint, you could try Paul at Car Care in Stoke he's based just off Liverpool Road
Jcs - Any chance of looking on mig or Mk3oc for an ECU rather than having to buy new? Just a thought

Guy came and collected the sideskirts and bumpers tonight, turned up in his red cav with matching cav rear end trailer....was well cool. Gave him a couple of flyers and told him about the rolling road day, he lives Wrexham way I think.
