Vauxhall Astra 2.2 Coupe which is the original Vauxhall press car!

February 2000 V-reg Astra Bertone Edition 2.2i 16v 5spd manual Coupe, Titan Gold metallic with Black & White Leather/Alcantara Interior.
Irmscher Bodykit (fitted by dealer who sold it to prev owner in 2001).
Full Service History (but due a service now).
Comes with almost a years MOT.
Spec is amazing for age and includes:
Full colour satellite Navigation (factory fitted) with CD head unit and fingertip controls on steering wheel, factory fitted glovebox mounted CD Changer, Cruise Control, adjustable steering column, Air Conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, twin front and side airbags, ABS, front fogs, remote control central locking and alarm/immobiliser, 2 keys, all handbooks, HPI report, multifunction trip computer (in sat nav display), folding rear armrest, rear spolier, alloy wheels, etc etc.

So, the bad bits: Scuff on OSF bumper (touched in by prev owner), scuff on NSR bumper (again, touched in by prev owner), couple of bonnet chips (yep, you guessed it, touched in by prev owner), and the multifunction computer always says the car has no fuel (fuel gauge works though) - I spoke to Mr Machin (prev owner) and he said that he took it into Vauxhall for a new fuel sender, but that they forgot to reset the computer - computer now seems to have fixed itself!

The car goes like a bat out of hell if you fancy having some fun, or you can just as easily pootle it about - and pootling around, I got nearly 40mpg out of it!!

Now, here's the really good bit. This car was registered in February 2000, so comes under the PLG tax rate, which is currently £185 a year. If this car was a 2001 Y-Reg or newer, it would fall into Band F on the 'graduated VED' tax bands and cost £210 to tax. Next year, because the car (on graduated VED) is classified at 202g/km of CO2, if it was a Y-reg or newer would cost a staggering £300 in road tax. However, because it is PLG, it will be less then £200

The car has done just over 68,000 miles from new only, which is nothing for an 8 year old car. Bert's in lovely condition with the exception of the points listed above, and I would love him to go to a home that will appreciate him and his special history.

Located in Derbyshire

Price is £3500 ono

H7 VXL was its original reg when it was owned by vauxhall but they retained that when the car was sold so hence the new reg.

I have seen the car myself and its every bit as good as it looks. It was in the main arena display at Billing this year so a lot of you may have seen it there.

Lol sorry I meant to say I cant see tham because I'm at work and my firewall wont let me!

I would go for this if I didnt already have a Coupe as its in the best colour and has the best bodykit IMO and because of its history.
