From what I've heard it is quite an involved job and can therefore be pricey at a garage (not sure how much exactly) , however I believe the parts themselves are not too dear.
I know Pllusy has had to change the ones on Chikin's Vec twice so he will be able to give you more info.

Why do you think they need replaced?
Are they making metallic clonking sounds? If so then I believe it may be the bushes and rose joints

wel the car has developed a creaking noise from the back, but i have already replaced the suspension...
and the other week i was at a vaux dealer to get a new key sorted and they gave the car a 'free visual checkover' - and rear trailing arms were one of the things that they mentioned

The so-called free visual checkover usually results in a garage ****ing about with your car and breaking something. Why cant they just leave it alone and do what you asked instead lol!
Were they any more specific? Best way to check for play in the rear bushes is to jack it up, grab the wheel top and bottom and see if you can feel any movement.

Certainly rose bushes commonly go, and are cheap to replace (yourself!).
I've heard that the bushes at the front of the trailing arms also fail, and they're also replaceable - just they need a different tool to pull them out and back in.
The tool for the rose bushes is about £55 on eBay complete with a set of 4 no-name bushes.
Ian.

if its creaking then it will be the bushes mate , as a temp repair pull the boots back and spray some grease in there
